African Women's Business Conference 2011

"Making a Difference" - Women in Business Conference 2011

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the inaugural “Making a Difference” - African Women in Business Conference 2011. We have been working tirelessly to ensure that we deliver a breath-taking conference that will leave you inspired, informed and invigorated to go out there and make a difference in your own business or profession.

History will be made on the 29th of July 2011 as this will be the first conference in the UK to congregate African women entrepreneurs to network, showcase their products and brainstorm on matters of policy direction, program review and allied issues.

The African Women in Business Conference is a national initiative to promote and acknowledge African women entrepreneurship, recognize pioneering industrialists and inspire higher standards and aspirations amongst African women to aspire for senior leadership roles in their professions.

There are over 5.5 million Africans in the UK to date, including all African nationalities, all races and all ages; and many of those are women. This conference aims to bring this previously muted group into the mainstream. We certainly look forward to seeing you at this leading event on the UK-African calendar.

The Venue

15Hatfields was built from an empty shell using sustainable materials making this one of the most environmentally friendly venues around. This was important to us in deciding the conference venue. 15Hatfields is a contemporary venue in the heart of London. Built in 2008, 15Hatfields offers state of the art facilities, excellent service and mouth-watering catering, guaranteeing you a 5 star experience at this conference. We have hired the entire venue for our conference meaning there will be plenty of space to roam around in the course of the day. Why don’t you schedule a meeting during the conference and use one of the meeting rooms on site.

The Conference

The conference will be a one day event, starting in the morning & finishing in the evening after a cheese & wine reception featuring some outstanding South African wines & other soft-drinks. There will be a three-course lunch served to the delegates in the luxurious dining lounge; making this conference a fully catered day away from the office. This will be an ideal environment to entertain your clients, partners, shareholders or guests. There will be several breaks in the day to ensure the program does not become too congested. Exquisite entertainment in the form of live music will be enjoyed after lunch and during the networking reception. But above all, this conference will prove to be value for money for paying delegates. Enquire about getting your tickets today for you and all your staff.

The Exhibition

There will be an exhibition of African-women run businesses on display at the conference. This display will showcase the successes over the past ten years of African women in Enterprise (UK). The exhibition will be intended to offer the exhibitioners a platform to introduce their wares to other women & create distribution networks within the African community. Our guest speakers will be invited to meet the women who are running these businesses, providing access to an otherwise inaccessible demographic of women business leaders. There will be over 20 small businesses on display as well as exhibition stalls for our sponsors. Get your stall today: stalls@aaoe.org.uk
